Seirei Christopher University (SCU), Japan This partnership encourages the exchange of faculty, scholars, academic information, and materials to enhance the research and educational processes at both universities and to create a mutual understanding between their respective faculty and scholars.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (Uhamka), Jakarta The partnership allowed for a virtual exchange which was an essential global pedagogy with a timely appeal. The program was an opportunity of working closely with distant colleagues in the pharmacy profession, sharing ideas and learning from alternative practices. It provided possibilities for debriefing with colleagues and the growth that comes from shared experience. It also allowed for connecting with pharmacy students in Indonesia and comparing worldviews. Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University This partnership allowed two (2) faculty members an opportunity to study at their university and to organize a joint study titled: A new hexenoic acid glycoside with cytotoxic activity from the leaves of Psychotria luzoniensis

Institute for Innovative Global Education (IIGE), Kansai University

This partnership allowed one (1) student from the Department of Nursing to attend a course about global citizenship and one (1) student from the Department of Physical Therapy to attend as a special program participant through the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) – Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).

This  partnership with Kansai University also allowed one (1) student from the Department of Nursing to attend the Kansai University Engaged/Exchange Online Learning (KU-EOL) Program and the course on Critical Thinking for Social and Global Issues.

Commission on Higher Education (CHED) This partnership allows CHED to provide funding through an Institutional Grant (IG) to allow the establishment of a physical therapy and rehabilitation research laboratory which will allow the university to establish a niche research laboratory for physical therapy. The research laboratory will allow for the advancement of rehabilitation science in the area of Northern Luzon.

UP College of Allied Medical Professionals - Association of Physical Therapy Students This partnership was formed to increase awareness about physical therapy and COVID-19 through online infographics and a webinar that will detail the roles of physical therapists in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and in managing COVID-19 patients. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Region 1 This partnership allowed three (3) faculty members of the college, one from each department, to participate as members of the technical working group for Health and Nutrition in the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program of the DOST which aims to alleviate quality of life concerns at Carasi, Ilocos Norte

Extension and community engagement

Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) This partnership allows the PCHRD to award Php 12.3 M to the Tuklas Lunas Development Center (TLDC) which was established to discover and develop drugs that rely on the unique biodiversity of the region. The awarded fund was used on a study about the Formulation of Dosage Forms from Standardized Non-toxic Bioactive Extracts from Indigenous Plants.

Another partnership with DOST-PCHRD was also done; this time to award a fund Php 375,175 to another study titled Prevalence and Influencing Risk Factors of Health Conditions Among Tobacco Farmers in Ilocos Norte which will serve as a baseline assessment of the different possible health conditions that may affect tobacco farmers in Ilocos Norte.

Local

Local government of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte The partnership with the local government of San Nicolas was formed because of the increasing number of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in San Nicolas. This partnership is meant to provide free rehabilitation services to the PWDs, especially those with financial constraints and those that are disadvantaged geographically. This partnership also aimed to decrease the prevalence of non-communicable diseases through health education and capacity building of the health workers and community. Department of Education (DepEd) – Ilocos Norte through Florentino Camaquin Integrated School (FCIS) The partnership with DepEd – Ilocos Norte through FCIS was formed with the main goal of enhancing the quality of life and functional performance of children with disabilities (CWDs) enrolled at the Special Education Center of FCIS and other CWDs at Vintar; so that these children may reach their maximum potential. This partnership also aims to educate the important individuals responsible for grooming the CWDs, such as their teachers and parents, on how to responsibly care for them. Brgy. Baay, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte The partnership with Brgy. Baay was formed to improve the overall healthcare of the geriatric population of Brgy. Baay through the advocacy on issues to improve the necessary care processes among geriatric patients. This partnership also aimed to screen and monitor the geriatric patients when it comes to their adherence to their drug prescriptions. Extension and community engagement
Brgy. Madamba, Dingras, Ilocos Norte This partnership was formed to provide basic health services to the barangay with the collaboration of the local government of Dingras. This partnership aimed not only to improve the overall health of the community, but also to further capacitate their health workers to improve the overall development of the community’s health.
